The Do Not Call List

Here in Canada they have set up a do-not-call list where people can register their telephone numbers in order to opt out of telemarketing, and/or market research calls. The website to register was launched yesterday, and crashed within hours due to high volume traffic. The phone line for registry is jammed, and my friend reports was a two hour wait to get on the list via that route.

I guess we Canadians do NOT wish to be called about products, and services. Ya think?!

Teena -> Have you seen the list of "companies exempt" from the "No Call List"???

Newspapers, political offices/parties, financial institutions, companies you've had previous dealings with...

Just leave in phone companies and carpet cleaners and there's absolutely NO DIFFERENCE!
